Aging and wrinkles
Aging and wrinkles
Skin aging refers to all the transformations that occur in the skin over time. The causes may be genetic or environmental. The latter include variables such as the wind, dry environments, high temperatures, cold, sun (UV radiation-induced photoaging), pollution, tobacco, drugs, alcohol...
There are different types of wrinkles: those caused by intrinsic aging and those caused by extrinsic aging. The former can be physiological (caused by age) or metabolic (triggered by poor nutrition). Wrinkles caused by extrinsic aging are expression wrinkles (they are part of our way of expressing ourselves and the upshot of muscle contractions) and photo-induced wrinkles (produced by the sun).
MartiDerm has developed an extensive range of products to prevent, treat and reduce wrinkles and skin aging.
