Acne is an inflammatory skin disease that can appear at any time in life, although most commonly during adolescence. It causes an imbalance in the skin microbiota and is characterised by inflammation of the sebaceous glands and the appearance of blackheads.

 

Did you know that 85% of young people get acne? The age of onset in girls is from 10 to 17, while for boys it is from 14 to 19.

 

It can also appear after the age of 25, especially in women. In this case it is called hormonal or adult female acne.
